Bullies Make $, But Does That Make Sense?

Last night, I finally caught the latest Basketball Wives from opening to credits. As I watched the group (including some women and some broads) I realized that Evelyn Lozada (broad) is a bully.
A bully is defined as a person who uses strength or power to harm or intimidate those that are weaker. I'm sure the words power, strength and weaker create feelings of joy for a bully.  It is my belief that these words in this context have a negative connotation, and it speaks to one's poor character to relish in berating or physically harming someone just because you can.

Evelyn claims to be a 36 year old entrepreneur, mother, fiance, reality show star, philanthropist, producer, and co-author. What she fails to mention is that she is not mean girl/bully. What's more, is that she's throwing glasses, wine bottles, clutch handbags, and jumping over tables all the way to the bank.

In the last few years, bullying has been highlighted in the media due to a slew of child suicides, YouTube fights, and cyber attacks. Why are broads like Shaunie O'Neal, Tami Roman, and Evelyn Lozada allowed to capitalize off of being what we don't want our children to become? Essentially, Evelyn is what happens when a bully grows up, but does not mature.

What's even worse is that Tami and Evelyn both agree that after an (bullying incident) assault, an adult should just take it and not utilize the system of checks and balances put in place to keep ADULTS in check. Furthermore, if you want people to settle problems your way, the next course of action would be for the bullied person to get their people to ride on your ass. But that's not how ADULTS should handle things either. At the risk of being cliche, violence isn't the answer. You don't have to just snap and "blackout" to settle your differences. Instead of being about "that life", why don't you be about your own life. Worry about those you actually care and like, those that are your friends and family. Anyone else let em walk.

Little girls are actually looking up to these woman with their super large earrings, cute dresses, and bad behavior. Because we let our children watch and idolize these women, they are making more money than you and I, and the people they spend the majority of their day with....teachers.

Where are our priorities for the future?

If you know a child that is being bullied, the dept of ed has a website set up that is actually a comprehensive collection of what you need to know and how we can stop our children from being bullies and the bullied.
